We will remove the old post and concrete footing and replace with a new post and fresh concrete. This can add years to a fence’s life and prolong the replacement of the whole fence. We only use cedar fence posts as cedar has great rot resistant characteristics. Typically you can expect a cedar fence post set in concrete, to remain stable for 20+ years. A common misconception is that pressure treated fence posts will last longer than cedar. Given Colorado’s dry high desert climate, pressure treated posts will warp, split, and twist leading them to fail much faster than untreated cedar.

This is done by removing the old section of rails and pickets, and adding new rails and pickets between the existing fence posts. We will assess the existing fence posts to make sure they’re stable, and will replace when necessary.
